Cardinals Flocking to Taylor Richmond Benefit Auction

Two classes, AR101 Art Appreciation (Fall 2013) and ID160D ArtsCore (Spring 2014), combined forces to sculpt and paint oven baked clay cardinals.

The Cardinal trees will be up for auction at the Taylor Richmond Benefit silent auction March 13th and 14th.

Come down and support this great cause!

More carrot, less stick

One sweet incentive for many critique classes and other special events in the Art and Design department is the appearance of the big white box of Bloedoe's donuts.

Michelangelo is quoted as saying:

“If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it would not seem so wonderful at all.”

SMU Faculty Art Show Opening

Thursday's SMU Art and Design Faculty art gallery opening was a success!  Here are a few pictures just incase you missed the opening. Be sure to make it to the Lillian Davis Hogan Gallery to see it in person if you missed it, there is some really great work in it!

Faculty Exhibit Opening

Make sure to attend the opening reception for the SMU Art and Design Faculty Art Exhibition in the Lillian Davis Hogan Gallery Thursday afternoon, January 16th.

The reception runs from 4:30 - 6 pm. Refreshments will be served.
